The Hunt
So, many of you know I am currently been looking for work. I have been applying at a lot of places, and all the jobs I've found and applied for are full-time. I have recently made the decision (with the help of a supportive husband, family, good friends, and inspiration) that I really shouldn't try to take on a full-time job and a Master's Degree, and all the other responsibilities and activities I have. I have a syndrome of over-working myself, thinking, "Yes; I can do that; I can do it all." Then I do do it all, and sleep a whole lot less, and take care of myself less than I should. Well, I'm am going to put a stop to that! (Well I'll try at least.) So I am on the hunt for some part-time work that is in my field of study: teaching English to speakers of other languages, tutoring, adult literacy, etc. I would like to get paid of course. Even if my job only produces a small amount of money, anything helps. I'm also really liking the idea of working from home. So if you, or anyone you know have any leads, contacts, or ideas for me, please let me know. Thanks!

Hey Em! Thats great, thanks so much for that letter you sent it was so nice!It made my day
So glad to know you have a blog! We'd love to be added to your list. And I can't wait for the Spanish class -- I think Holly might be interested, too.
Emily! I'm so excited that you are doing your master's!!!! What a wonderful opportunity for you!!! This is the time to do it! ESOL will be such a great field for you! I can totally see you doing that! You will be so good and so enthusiastic about teaching English and you will make a such a difference in those people's lives! That is what teaching is all about. When we first moved here in the 90's I remember my mom taking English classes and she learned a lot and had a fantastic teacher...I remember each of MY ESL teachers still by name, I had 4 of them, they encouraged me so much not only with my English but in life in general, getting good grades so I can go to college etc. I get emotional just thinking about it! One in particular made such a difference in me. You will have that opportunity, not only to teach them English but to encourage them that they can be anything they want to be!!!!!!:)I'm truly happy for you Emily!!!! You are going to be amazing!!!!:)
PS: The last day we were in Cleveland I totally wanted to come see you and Seth, the kids were tired and grumpy and I didn't have any of your info handy. I'm sure we will come again sometime and I will FOR SURE come see you, even if I have to sneak out by myself and leave the kids with Scott!!!:) Email me your address and phone # so I can put it in my contacts. :)
